Hello all! I haven't been on in FOREVER! Anyway on to my issue. I adopted a sick betta from work today and I'm pretty sure he has a swim bladder disease. He is having bouency issues. He is stuck floating on his side and when he does swim down its a big struggle. I'd fill out the sticky but I think it's pointless as he has been in a store (hince in a cup) the entire time I've known him. But here is some info....
He gets 2-3 pellets daily, excluding 1 day a week for fasting. His water gets a complete change at least 4 times a week with completely cycled and treated water. He has been sick for about 1-2 weeks. It started out with just bloating but I noticed the bouyency issues this morning. Oh! Since I've noticed him sick I have changed his water daily and cut his feeding back to 1 pellet every other day or so.
Now he is in a 1gal with no gravel or anything. The water is 78F and has 1or a little less than 1 tsp of Epsom salt and stress coat. I've considered getting him some frozen daphnia to feed him but he is so bloated I'm hesitant to feed him more.
So, anyone have advice? Tips? Should I fill out the sticky?
