Petsmart Holocaust

So i went to petsmart today to try to get a new tank for Freckles, my female, no luck, but also couldnt help but check out the betta section. There were like 30ish betta about half were dead and most the others were dieing, it was very sad. I wanted to buy some... but dont have room.... and my g/f would think im insane. She already does...

That's terrible to hear, but I think you have a long way to go before you're insane. You're still just addicted, like the rest of us. Well, some of us are insane now. I'm on my way, and happy about it too x3

I think that someday we should go to our local pet stores and ask if we can clean all the bettas cups. I know thats nothing huge, but think about how many it could help!

Geez! Our Petsmart isn't that bad. I saw a Betta that was labeled female but it clearly was a male with short fins from fin rot or something.
The rest looked relatively okay. I think it depends on the employees at each store on how well the fish are taken care of. I saw at least 4-5 dead guppies in the regular fish tanks they have. :(

My Petsmart isn't bad, either, although some of the cups could stand a water change.
