New tank

So when setting up a new tank im supposed to let it run for like a day, is there any less time i could safely let it run for? Cause i had this new betta in the bowl thing he comes in and wanna get him outta it as fast as possible.

To be on the safe side, I'd run it for 24 hours.

If you're not planning on cycling the tank, then there's really no reason to let it sit if you have a decent water conditioner other than to let the heater adjust. If it's already working fine then you could put him in now.
