Baffle not making much difference

I have a 5.5 gallon tank with a TopFin Power 10 filter and I baffled it, per the instructions stickied here. The baffle did cut down some on the current, but my betta is still having trouble swimming in it. Is there anything else I can do, or am I going to have to get another filter?

What kind of baffle is it? I baffled mine with aquarium sponge on both the intake and outflow.
It might bebetter to get a sponge filter, though. I don't have experience with them myself, but there's not enough water flow to push a betta around.

I did the water bottle baffle where it flows from both sides of the water bottle instead of just blasting out from the filter. I don't know anything about sponge filters though.

An azoo palm filter (HoB) costs like $10 - a much better choice than the top fin 10. It even has the ability to restrict the flow built into the filter.

Currently on sale at foster and smith for $7.

I love the azoo palm filters!
Deep blue also now sells a nano filter that looks like it came from the same mould as the azoo, they're almost exactly the same!
When i baffle my filters, I saran wrap the intake and poke some holes for the amount of water I want flowing through. I'm pretty sure that's putting strain on the poor motor, but it gets the work done pretty well.

I ordered the Azoo palm filter and also got some silk plants for a good price. Thanks for the recommendation!
