Please help!!!

hey, iv been cycling my 13 litre tank for 7 days and have had the water chemically tested in 2 different pet shops, both say the levels are fine. however i bought a new betta yesterday, he was fine at first when i put him in the tank, but later in the evening he begin to act strange, he was laying on the bottom of the tank on his side, what does this mean? iv transferred him into a different tank with water which has been treated with tap safe, ammonia and nitrite remover. he doesnt seem to be able to swim to the surface. please help :( :(

Sounds like Swim Bladder Disorder. Don't feed him for a few days, and keep the water level low. He should be fine!

how low shal i reduce the water to?

Low enough so he shouldnt have too much trouble getting to the surface.

should i keep my filter and heater in the water too?

will he be ok if i leave him in shallow water without the heater and filter?

I dont think it matters if the filter is in or not, but I'd keep the heater in.
