I'm so sorry to hear that. I, too, am glad that he passed in a warm and loving home. I'm a little concerned about my little guy too- they're just so dang fragile, and he wasn't looking especially active when I left for class/meetings this morning. Sadly, it's just one of those things with baby bettas. Yours was especially (ridiculously) small, too. From the sounds of things, you took really good care of him. I hope that you'll consider rescuing another needy betta!

Thanks- I hope he gets better too! I've had to be gone all day, so I'm sad that he's at home alone and I can't even feed him every 6 hours. Poor little guy. I'm going to clean him and give him lots of love and attention when I get home, if he's still with me... Dang Petco and their cheap and addictive baby bettas! They're addictive! I can't go into that store anymore. lol I have 6 bettas now, with one more on the way via eBay. No...more...bettas...

lol to the last few comments here. But sorry about the little baby, as you said, sometimes it's just a bad egg and their too far gone when we get them. But you're right, I'd much rather they die knowing a warm, loving home and some good food than on a cold shelf!

I understand. It's sad to lose them, especially when they should be just beginning their lives. And it's very sad that people are willing to exploit bettas that tiny just to make a quick dollar. At least he had someone who cared about him and gave him the best care possible with you.

Mine is still hanging in there. I'm going to go do a water change right now.
