Tank maintenance

Hello,
I was just setting up a new 25 litre tank for a single male fish, I had added the hardcore and some plants plus a filter and heater. I had an emergency with a female that I needed to move quickly to treat her. I used about two teaspoons of epson salt directly to the water to try to ease her bloat. Unfortunatly she didn't make it. What should I now do with this tank to make in suitable for another fish please? I don't want to remove the plants if possible as they are in plant substrate and growing nicely.

Your plants will be fine. Just do two large water changes >70% back-to-back. That'll remove enough epson salt to make it OK to stock. The plants will eat the rest.
