Betta at petco with swim bladder

So I went to petco today to get dog food and just had to look at the Betta's. They all looked like they were half dead =( I did find one beautiful half-moon that had just gorgeous colors and full fins but was swimming and floating on its side >.< I knew that was caused by swim bladder but don't know what it is or if I could fix it... If so I'm so going back in the morning and getting him.. Does anyone have any help or advice?
