Filter For Fish Bowl

I may be getting more bettas in the future and was wondering if there heaters and filter for fish bowls..

I am going to be getting minimum 2 gal bowls or some big vases for more Bettas! My house is always really warm, but I will be getting a heater to be safe, however do I need a filter if I was doing water changes every week?

It doesn't get very cold in the winter time in BC, does it? Compared to here, anyway.

I'm sure you can find a heater for small aquariums and use it in your bowl, but I'm not sure if you can find any filters that could fit. If you change the water regularily, though, you wouldn't need a filter.

I thought the coldest it got during the day was around -10. It does get colder at night, however my family isnt afraid of running the heat

I come from Windsor (which is really down South Ontario if you don't know) and the weather is very similar during the winter. Usually -10 or so.

Then I came to Ottawa and the regular tempurature is like -20, sometimes dipping down to -30 or so. It was a bit of a shock for me, lol.

My room is pretty cold because it's in the basement, but it seems that you shouldn't have much of a problem.

I heard tinfoil acts as a good backup insulator in case anything happens.

A sponge filter would work fine.
