My betta Ira has had a pretty rough SBD for a week now. I tried fasting for a few days then on daphinia, but he only seemed to get slightly better then worse. We was pooping, but I haven't noticed any in a while. After the fasting didnt work I tried putting him on a small diet, 1 small ball of daphnia (pellet size) twice daily. In addition I have also been doing salt baths using aquarium salt 1/2 tsp per gallon at 15 minute intervals. He is still swimming lively and has an appetite but his SBD is coming in going in waves. He is currently floating on his side and randomly swimming around. He seems to be trying to find a place to prop himself up... he is especially enjoying the slot between his filter and the side of the tank.
My main question is would epsom salts be any different? Should I try a pea? I know that can hurt them but Im at my wit's end here.
