My betta turned into a fuzzy thing that barks!

Jk, lol. I think my puppy is getting a little jealous of me taking pictures of the fish instead of him. So I'm just spreading the love.

I do have a question though, I'm making a little book for my cousin on how to care for a bettas for when I give him a betta as a birthday present, sort of a help/info guide just in case he forgets anything. I have the following included: water changes, feeding, what to look for if he gets sick, length the light needs to be on, and temperature.
Obviously I'm forgetting stuff. My mind is going 800 directions at once, what am I forgetting to include in the book?

by the way if you list to many negatives he might thing of all the diseases and all that can happen to one and might not want one for example if you say that *popeye can kill your betta* instead of
*popeye is harmful for your betta but its pretty rare and simple to cure * i am just saying because i told my aunt to get a betta then after she got one and i told her of all the diseases and everything she is getting second thoughts about that

Well, I was just going to put any abnormalities, like black fins, torn fins, etc and he should call me about what to do. I'm also telling my aunt all this so both of them can look for those things.

How old is he, just curious?
And I think you've got everything (: Maybe add how he should watch the decorations, to see if they rip or trap the betta?

He will be 10 when I give it to him. I'm going to get the fish in a couple of weeks, make sure he's healthy and ready to go and give it to him towards the last week of October. My aunt and I have come to an agreement that if my cousin doesn't take care of the fish properly, I will take the fish.

That's such a nice idea! Unfortunately, my cousin doesn't seem as interested. I took him to the petstore to buy some stuff for a Betta and he asked me why I was wasting all my money on a fish.

Aw, that's too bad. When I took my cousin with me to get Rowan he was so interested that I got the idea for the fish.
