Lighting question...6500k CFL vs 9325k flourescent

I got a strip light for my boys' 2.5 gal tanks, who are lined up next to each other. They didn't have any 24 inch daylight fluorescent strip lights at lowes, but I saw this other one with like 9325k , 18 watts. Would that work for plants? It said it is for aquariums, not plants specifically, just aquariums. It was only $5 so I'm wondering if that one would work? I'm now considering getting the same strip light for my sorority, because it will look nicer than what I have. But I want to get the right bulbs. My sorority is 20 gallons and heavily planted. So I want the right lights for sure.

I will say anything that is between 5000k and 10,000k will work but the closer to 6500k the better it will work for plants, I do not know the specific k rating for the pinkish colored bulbs that are for freshwater set up I will guess they are the ones you are talking about, it will work just may not be optimal, if you had a 2 lamp fixture you could mix bulbs which is what I will be doing, when I can afford some more t5ho bulbs............sighs 4 bulbs 40 bucks........

Yea this bulb is looking pinkish, that's why I'm wondering if it won't work properly for my plants.

Okay then I will just go to another store and find a better bulb for my sorority but I'll leave this cheap one on my boys, since they don't have as many plants. Thanks!
