Question my new betta

i purchased my new betta yesterday (at last!!). when i got him home i left him in his bag in the tank for about 15mins for him to adjust to the tank temp, le him out of the bag and now today all he seems to have done is sit at the bottom of the tank, he will every now and again go to the suface for air and then return to sitting on the bottom of the tank behind his flower pot??

he is eating fine and doesnt show any other symptoms.

if anyone could help me it would be much appreciated.

My new DT/CT did that. I moved him to a smaller tank and he is much better. I think the larger tank can kind of stress them out at first until they get comfortably.

One of my fish did that too.....it just took him some time to get used to his surroundings C:

I think he was just a bit stressed from all the moving.

he is now in a 2.3 galon tank. at the petstore he was in a ver small tank probably about 1/2 gallon.
forgot to add he was quite lively at the petstore, and flarng at his neighbouring bettas!!
i have tested all the water levels also and they are all ok.
one more thing there are quite a few bubbles he has produced at the surface is that good???!

Bubble nests mean that he is very happy and wants to breed but you don't have to breed him.=)

My betta was the same. Shy would hide behind the heater the whole time. I was doing daily salt baths on him. So i dont think he was too happy, but he had bad fin rot. I would feed him while he was in the salt bath in a smaller container because he wouldnt eat in the big tank. Now he is fine after a week, eats in the big tank, swims and flare. Even blew me a bubble nest!

What is the temperature in the tank? If it's below 76 he is cold. Best keep his water between 76-82F.
