I went up to school to start moving into my apartment for the weekend and when I got back there it was its not too bad yet.. hopefully I caught it soon enough. I just did a 50% water change and gave him a salt bath, I'm planning on doing another salt bath tomorrow morning. I don't have bettafix but I could get some tonight or tomorrow if he gets worse. Any other suggestions?
Its not bad at all just a little fraying at the ends, I got some bettafix tonight and used it in his tank just in case. I'm just a little worried cause I have to move in a few days and I know its going to stress him out.
Yeah, salt baths and bettafix should do. If it doesn't heal up in a couple of days and or gets worst, you may have to switch to proper medicine. Remember to change the water in their tank frequently, clean water will help it heal up nicely.
Ok sounds good thanks for your help! One question about bettafix.. it says to repeat the dose for 7 days then do a water change? So wouldn't that be a huge amount of bettafix in my tank by the time I change the water?
Ive been using salt baths and bettafix for 3 days now and its not getting better...what else should I do?? I have to move him to college in 2 days and I'm really worried about stressing him out
I'm really worried about him making he move up to school. I have a one gallon tank that I could put him in when I get there as a sick tank, but won't that stress him out even more to go to a five gallon to a one gallon? What would be worse.. trying to recycle the five gallon with him in it or putting him in the one gallon?
