DROPSY or Hypochondria? Help!

So I inspect my fish daily and i noticed my little baby Trinette thats about the size of my thumbnail, looks like she might have beginning stages of dropsy!!!??

And the scarier part is I don't know if i contaminated my other bettas!!

Its hard to tell, she isn't bloated or acting strangely. But her scales look odd to me. I don't know if its just her irid coloring tricking my eyes or what.

The pictures aren't that great.

Please tell me if it is the start of dropsy and WHAT DO I DO!!!!?????

I don't see anything wrong... Photos I've seen of pineconed fish look much worse. Especially if she's acting fine, I wouldn't panic yet. In any case, dropsy isn't an actual illness itself- it's a symptom of other illnesses, and is usually caused by organs shutting down. So she can't actually pass dropsy to any of the other fish in the tank, even if she does have it. Make sure that you don't notice any other signs of infectious illnesses. But she really does look fine to me. I think it may be her iridescence...

Oh my goodness, I have no idea! It shouldn't be, unless you got contaminated IAL leaves. They're usually good for bettas. I have no idea. I'm sorry.

Can you tell us more about the ial?
- Is it bottled, or leaves?
- Who is the producer in the case of an extract, seller for leaves?
- How much did you add?

Its Ocean Nutrition brand its called Attison's Betta Spa, ingredients are wild almond leaf extract, sodium chloride, calcium chloride, almond extract and preservatives. thats all it says. I did the 5ml per 1g of water for water conditioning purposes as directed.

I have that stuff. My fish don't seem to like it, but it's never harmed them. They just look a little sad when it's in there. I've tried it with two fish. Both perked up when I put them back in regular water.

Edit- I think, but am not sure, that it may lower the pH of the water a bit.
