If you decide not to upgrade they do make tiny heaters for smaller bowls. The problem with them is that usually they heat up the water too much and it ends up being way to hot. I have a hydor mini heater for a one gallon and it makes it 82-84 degress, too hot for a betta. If you can, get a thermometer and just make sure the temp stays between 76-80 degrees.

That means he's happy and ready to breed, so it's a good thing. If you want a heater for your bowl, get a 25w.

They do have green bettas. I have a green female with red fins. :)

Did you find you green betta at a local pet shop? I haven't been able to....
I thougth about ordering one off line but I wasn't too sure about that....

Yeah, I found her at Petsmart. I`ve seen males with green in them, but usually they`re mixed with blue and other colours.
