Stop me if it gets to be too much, but taking photos of them is addictive! :T

Firstly, sorry that you can see me reflected in the pictures. I have to use my table lamp as you already know, but the girls aren't used to such bright light. Their colour fades and they get stress stripes, so this time I had to position so it didn't affect them as much. Bambi hates the light, though. She lost all her lovely purple when I brought it around, so you'll just have to believe me when I say she's a lot more colourful now.

Secondly, excuse the nipped fins. I'm still suspecting Gloria, even thoguh she was so placid (and still seems to be whenever I'm around). Second day that I'm treating it with Bettafix.

I once had a little girl who hated the camera so much that she'd turn from a beautiful green to completely stress striped if she so much as saw a camera- they really are funny little fish!

beatiful bettas, although i thought you couldnt keep bettas together or is that just males?

Jenny, you can't keep males together but you CAN keep females together in a large tank. This is called a sorority. It doesn't always work though. The females you put together have to have the right personality for it. If they are too aggressive then it won't work. You have to have them in a 10 gallon or larger, with lots of plants and hiding places.

What i love about Aigis is that she has perfect blue eyes. i'd never seen that on a fish before. Felix has it too.

Yep, you can keep females together. It seems I'm lucky because so far nothing too serious has happened (though the fin nipping started a few days ago). Whenever things get stressful for one of the girls (mainly my smaller two), they like to hide in the pot with the dwarf hairgrass.
