black poop

I know that white, broken white, clear, stringy wormy poop can indicate internal parasites / infection. How about black poop ? Fish is bloated and has discolored stomach.
Its not my betta i just trying to help someone on this forum .
Thank you so much!

Black feces can indicate bleeding in the upper part of the digestive system (stomach) in humans. I'll do a bit of research and see if it could be the case with fish.

thank you. I was really also thinking it can indicate internal parasites in fish? I know poo can be any color depending on what fish ate. But this betta is bloated and has discolored stomach so i was thinking if its can be internal infection and he needs to treat fish accordingly.
Thank you so much!

1) What food is he getting? How much?
2) Are there any other symptoms? (Internal or external)

Some foods, such as mosquito larvae, result in dark colored poop. The "red brown" color that we call "normal" is really only normal because that's the usual color of pellets. But if he's getting mostly live/frozen foods, it may have a darker color.... And if he's being overfed with these, that can cause the bloating.
