Woodhouse Is Being Weird

Since Ive had him, he's always had a hard time maneuvering those big fluffy fins, especially when he's trying to eat, his dorsal gets in his way alot. Although he is not a tail bitter, thank gosh!

I've never had any issues with him til this morning. I fasted all of my bettas yesterday, like i do every Wednesday. I fed them the normal amount of food. But Woodhouse, who usually eats the pellets, kept spitting them out. So i tried the freeze dried blood worms, he spit those out too. He's never done that! I fed him some flakes i have just lying around and he seem to eat them.

Is his pallet changing? I don't know how old he is, but do they do that when they are getting older? He seems to be getting lazy...

Usually if they have been good eaters, then stop being good eaters, they are sick or getting sick.

Thank you for the replies PetMania and sainthogan

He's always been a little "slow", his fins take alot of work to move around, you can tell he struggles to maneuver them.

But since i put the silk plant hanging upside down, he just lays on the leafs all day long, except for when hes eating those cruddy flakes. He is still refusing the pellets and the blood worms.

He has perked up a little this morning, moving around a lot, dancing around for Lana my female CT. But the drastic changes in his eating are a little worrisome.

I guess since Woodhouse is an old man on the show Archer, i just picture him being a little old man fish, haha

Is there any other signs i should be looking for? Do DTs have a history of certain illness?
