Betta and Corys

Hi! I have a relatively new 5 gal tank with a male betta and 4 panda corys. They all seem to be pretty happy, but I am trying to feed my corys a variety of food and the betta keeps eating all of it! I feed my betta Hikari betta pellets, and the occasional thawed frozen bloodworm. I am trying to feed the corys bloodworms too because they sink, but they take too long to find it and I just end up with a bloated betta when he finds them all. I also feed the corys Hikari sinking pellets, although the betta likes to eat that too. What can I do to allow the corys to get the variety of the bloodworms without overfeeding my betta? Thanks!

dont try to feed the corys. it messes up ur whole ph. i have corys to.

Hmm, never heard of it altering ph. I learn something new everyday! That sucks I spent $8 on omega one sinking pellets.

I feed sinking pellets with no pH problems. It stays consistent. I vacuum when I do water changes to pick up any extra food.

If a Betta is eating the other fish's food, you can cup it until the Cories are done. A cup filled with tank water and attached to the side of the tank with a clothes pin works. You only really need to feed the Cories every other day or so. They'll eat what your Betta misses.
