3 females in a 5 gallon?

Would 3 females in a five gallon be to much? I had planned on turning an extra 10 gallon I had into a female only tank with 5 females but as I was cleaning it to get it set up and ready I dropped it and broke it. Now I am trying to decide if I could put 2 more in with my female I have now or if I should move my 2 female playts, 1 female sword, 3 cory cats, and blue mystery snail that are in on of my office tanks into my 44 gallon tank at home were there is still plenty of room for fish and turn that 10 gallon into my female tank. What do you guys think would be better? Or if you guys say 3 in the 5 gallon would be ok I think I will still move the other fish to tank at home and get even more females. LOL Then I could have a total of 8 females at the office and one male at home. LOL

The bioload is fine, but the fish will kill each other if kept in a group that small. Somewhere around here they have a good sticky on sororities...

Nope. 10 gallons is the minimum. Females really need their own space.

Thanks guys. I plan on keeping Lola (her new name) in her tank with some shrimp on my desk. I plan on moveing the other fish tonight and getting the other females tomorrow. Should I get them all at the same time to avoid anyone haveing territorys set up? In case there are any problems with them getting along I plan on getting at least one or 2 extra 2.5 gallon more if I need to.LOL

The 10 gallon tank. I will post a picture of the tank so you can tell me what you think.

Here is were they will live. Does it look ok? I have more plants I can put in if you think that would be a good idea.

Looks great!!! I would get 4-5 females. You might also want to get some clay pots for them to hide in. You should have at least 4 hidey holes/caves. One for each.

Thank you. Would it be best to get all 4-5 at one time? I have not seen any clay pot decorations but they do have others that have hiding places I can get that I like.

Yes, introduce them ALL at the same time. That way they don't stake out their own territory. By clay pots, I mean just simple Terra Cotta pots. 80 cents at Walmart, but free for me. :) I just get them from my mom's greenhouse.
