Red face Pekoe's new home :)

]So, I went shopping for a night light for my daughter today at some thrift stores.. i don't like to pay full price for anything.. Anyway, I didn't find a nightlight, but I did find this cute 2 gallon hex tank that I thought would look perfect in her room.. Pekoe wasn't a fan of the divided tank situation, so I decided that he could move in to her room.. I'm going to change his light cycle so that he has the light on at night and cover the tank with a towel to keep it dark through out the day so that he can be a nightlight and still get his rest..

thats awesome.......im sure your daughter will love it. how old is she? my youngest is 18 months. he LOVES all of our fish. when he gets home he always runs to the tanks and waves, "hi fish" in his lil southern accent. he can watch them for a long time.

hmmm, maybe ill do the same thing one day

Nice idea! Tank looks great, too. I'd like a fishy nightlight myself. :)

LOL, she's 10 months.. she loves to watch all the fish too, she's actually learned to say Fiss Fiss, (FishFish).. and I taught her to whisper to them, so she pulls herself up next to the tank and whispers in gibberish at them.. it's cute.

I'm hoping that being able to see him will help her relax at night because she's recently become afraid of the dark, and she wakes up and is absolutely hysterical by the time i get into her room..

At the one I go to there's always at least one tank.. I have 3 different ones I've picked up there, it's awesome.. I'm hoping they get a large 40+ gallon tank in soon, in good shape.. There's a 30 gallon one there now, but it's missing pieces of the hood, and they want 30 bucks for it.. I got all the decor for this tank at the dollar store too, so for the entire tank I spent 10 bucks... 7 for the tank itself, and 3 on rocks, shells and a plant at the dollar store..
