I honestly have a little bit of a tough time IDing females tail types. I would say "no" on wild type, but I can't say for sure. Where did you get her?
Indjo is a breeder so I think the advice you got from them is good and your female isn't wild type. As far as king - def a possibility, I think, if she's still young.

that means Jaws is a crowntail muliticolor (or maybe cambodian) Jimmi is a royal blue veil tail and CM (real name Chris Martin, but we call him Fi Ash) is a red veil tail. Even though Jaws was mixed-up bred and sold at petsmart, he turned out to be the most beutiful betta in the world.

As many others have said, thank you for this thread (& forum!)
I got my 1st Betta almost 10 years ago, unfortunately he only lived about 3mths. But after thinking about it alot the last few weeks and reading this site, as well as others. I purchased at 12Gal tank & got back into fish ownership.
Fin (I know what can I say, I have 3 kids; 7, 5 & 2 years...) it was either that or Flare Fin; according to your original post is a tri-colored veiltail! Not exactly "uncommon" but we think he's beautiful!

Sounds very cute! And I understand.. my kids are the same way lol.
And don't worry about him being a veiltail, those are my personal favorites.. I love the "classic" look to them. Second would probably be double tails.. But VTs... they are just so nice to have around. Love the reds and blues.. have a couple blue boys and a blue VT girl lol.. like I said, I like the "classics" :)

I think these questions might be appropriate for this thread.

How, exactly, do you define a dragonscale?

Do the scales have to cover a certain minimum of their bodies?

Is there a name for it when the metallic part doesn't cover the entire scale,
giving them a 'beaded' or pin-striped appearance?

How does a Copper differ from a Dragon?

What defines a 'rosetail?'

My girl is like that. I found out that she is a metallic/steel blue. You can see her in my album. Hope this helps! P.S. Christina, LOVE this thread. My favorites are Pineapple & Chocolate, & I like HM,VT,& CTPK (mmm pineapple & chocolate....)
