Hi, I'm kinda new here... Here is Abe, my first Betta. Unfortunately, he passed away on Sunday. I adored this little guy. He was extremely docile -- he never even flared at his own reflection! I miss him.
I decided to get a new tank and a new friend, though. This is Kroenen:
He's bloated because he totally PIGGED OUT on bloodworms last night. He's looking better today. I monitored him closely because the paranoid part of me thought, "DROPSY?!" I also have an African Dwarf Frog named Johann in the tank -- Kroenen essentially ate his share AND Johann's. Lesson learned. (I'm still getting used to Johann as I haven't had him for very long.)
His coloring really surprised me when I got him into the tank. In his little Petsmart bowl he looked teal and black (even when shining a light on him to inspect his body). I was not expecting the red!
