Exclamation Split fins again!!!

i am never at home on the weekends, and when i got back on monday night i noticed that sushi yet again had a split fin!. there are no plastic plants or anything sharp in his tank yet they seem to split quite often. he is being treated with melafix and salt baths at the moment.

he is eating fine at last and swims around perfectly fine also.

i dont know if this is a problem as well but he never seems to flare his fins fully?

what could be causing this problem?

It sounds like he is blowing his fins, which is weird if he's not flaring fully. can he see his reflection?

It honestly sounds like he is blowing his tail. Synthisis has this issue with his VT betta often. Even if you never see him flaring his tail fully, he may still be doing it. Is it possible to move the tank so it isn't getting as much of a glare on the tank walls?

My betta, Caesar always does that.....he splits his fins a few times a month, so I'm almost always treating him for it D; He's a spazz, so he does it to himself by accident, so maybe your fish is blowing his fins too.

I swear Synthisis's (my boyfriend) betta has ADHD or something. That fish is a nonstop, 24/7 flare. Usually about the time we get the tail growing back halfway he splits it again.
