Update on Carmella: She is now staying below the water line without any struggle. Her breathing has become more normal and she is staying upright without any trouble, whereas before she was laying on her side at the top and couldn't stay down in the water.

Awww, I'm so glad to hear that she is improving!! I guess she was very stressed after what happened. Who wouldn't be! lol

Yeah, I know... I must say if a giant turtle had me trapped... I would FREAK.... LOL! Yeah, she was very pale and had very dark stress stripes, now her color seems to be returning but the stripes are still there... but i definitely think she will make it now I'm so happy.

Update: She's struggling today... She ate one single bloodworm. She not floating yet... but she looks like she is starting to have difficulty, again, staying down.

I think her swimbladder got injured. It may heal on it's own or it may be permanent.

I went to the store to get JFE ...but they didnt have it? Is it something they may keep behind the counter? Or something? I've never had to buy it before.

It would have been there with all the other meds. Petsmart, Petco and Walmart should have it.
