Do any people eat betta fish? as like a snack? it'd be prety intresting to know. Not that that i wanna fry mine, im just curious.

Another question, totally irrelevant, what is the lowest temp. a betta fish can survive in, winter is coming up and i have a heater and all, but i just want to know just in case something goes wrong.

Is it possible to breed the diff. types of bettas? i want to try breeding them in the future. Im saving up to buy the materials needed.
Does this forum have like a stickied guide to breeding bettas? i dont remmber if i saw one.

Hm, that's a good question...I think they were mainly used for fighting. They don't look very tasty, anyway. xD

I don't know. it gets quite cold here in the winter, I don't want to risk it. I know they get rather inactive around the mid-60's.

yea it can go down to -50*F over here at times. But thats when the really nasty winds from canada blow south towards chicago, the lake front does not help the city keep warm at all either lol.

last week i read a news article about a woman who broke into her ex boyfriends apt and stole his goldfish- and fried them and ate them- they caught her in the act with a few of the fish still on her plate. she killed 7 fish total and is being tried for breaking and entering and animal cruelty
