Sleeping? Or sick?

Shani, my little girl betta, has a very particular habit when she's sleeping. When she breathes in, it's extremely hard, and she actually jumps out of the water a little ways, and makes a loud slapping sound. She does this for hours, and I don't think it's normal, as none of my other bettas do it. I have absolutely no idea what she's doing, but it worries me. Should I be, though? She's done this before, but since I moved her tank, I hear it much more now. She seems to be fine, with no lumps, fungus, or fin rot... just this odd way of breathing. Any ideas?

Maybe she's trying escape something toxic in her water?

I don't think so, since I literally just changed her water about five hours ago... and she only does it at night. She's been doing it for awhile, too. About two weeks. Plus, I just changed her tank, and I used the same water with her that I did with Devin today, and he's fine.

Fish get skin irritations like use, they can sometimes do what's called "flashing" jumping out of water or rubbing against tanks or gravel. This can occur with parasites or just random irritations. I have a betta like yours that jumps and swims against the tank but he is perfectly healthy. I am thinking of getting him a bigger tank to see if this activity decreases.

Huh. That's really weird :P She's completely healthy besides her little peculiarity, and I've noticed she only jumps in one spot. Which, disturbingly, is right under a small hole. I'm super paranoid right now that I'll wake up to find her beautiful body all shriveled up on my desk ):
