Would 6 be to many?

Hi guys. Do you think it would be ok to add Lola to my 10 gal girl tank? There are currently 5 in there right now and they are all doing good. Would it be wrong to try it and see how it goes? I was just thinking if I could put her in there then I could use her tank for the other male that I saw at Walmart that I wanted to get. What do you guys think?

I think you could try it and keep an eye on things to make sure no one gets hurt. The pecking order will probably be reestablished.

I would try it. My five are great and they got along with Karen when I added her... of course she wasnt in there long before I realized she was sick.
Just give it a try. Do what I do, have an emergency bowl and net nearby and just watch them closely. Like DQ said, they will re-evaluate each other but after they figure out who's boss it'll settle back down. I do think 6 is the limit for a 10 gallon though, just my opinion. I'll be adding Rosalie back in once she is healed to complete mine.

Thanks you guys. I will try it and see what happens. Both tanks are in my office so if there are any problems I can just put her back in her tank. And I agree I would not put anymore in there either.

I think Lola is happier now that she is in with the other girls. She is not franticly swimming back and forth like she was in her old tank. She just follows them around and seems to really like the flower pots. I don't know maybe I just have a weird girl that did not like being alone. LOL the others seem to have accepted her just fine no bodys flareing or pushing anyone around so far.

they get used to each other, at least mine have anyway and theres 30 in their tank
