Maracyn

I have just given Miles his 5th dose of Maracyn to treat popeye. In the last 24 hours, he has started doing better. He is making bubble nests again and can see me better so he is once again getting excited to see me. I have been putting food in his tank but he doesn't seem to want to eat yet. He is definitely on the mend but I think that he requires more doses of the Maracyn which says to dose for 5 days. My question is can I give him another 2 or 3 days of doses? If yes, do I have to do a partial or full water change before doing so or do I just wait and change the water when he is completely better in a few days and doesn't need any more Maracyn treatments?

I would say give him a few days rest from the meds and then start another round.

Yes. I would start with clean water.
