Question, possible sick betta

Hello, just today I noticed my buddy Hellboy just laying on the bottom of his tank. I spoke to him and he swam up and around for a bit but his fins seem to be clamped together and he doesn't have much of an appetite. I checked and his water is good, very low ammonia. not sure what to do/look for here...

Do you have a heater for his tank/bowl? Bettas get lethargic in cold water, as they're tropical fish.

Yes, sorry should have been more specific. I have a heater, keeps the water around 76 (which is better than my other heater)

He is in a 2.5 gallon tank, with a 50w heater (preset for 76-78 degrees for ease of use) and a filter (tetra whisper for 1-3 gallons)

Also, I shined a flashlight into the tank and looked Hellboy over. He doesn't seem to have any external signs of Ich or velvet; and his eyes seem fine and alert.

So... Hellboy still looks pretty sad. His fins are very clamped and he just lays on the bottom, not very interested in food. I put him into a smaller "hospital" tank with a heater and some salt and some Bettafix. How long should I have him in here?

Gave him a salt bath, and while he was in there did a 50% water change, but he still looks the same. (and he is seems really skinny all of a sudden too)

He might have internal parasites if he's looking thin.

Thats what i was thinking, but I don't know how he could have gotten them. I have had him for 6 months now and this is the first time I have seen him like THIS. He is still the same too, skinny, clamped fins, not eating (much) laying on the bottom of the tank. Any other ideas?

Not, not really, sorry D;
Or maybe you bought him old and he's just reaching his peak?
