Ive just suffered my first loss :(

well a little while ago, while doing their weekly WC, I discovered 2 of my lil ladies on the floor beside the aquarium. Poor things. I have a 55 gallon with a hood on top and the only opening available to jump is 1" x 3" and the whole top is 12" x 48"

I just made a small cover from some plastic cross stitch mesh. So this doesnt happen again.

It just goes to be learned, no matter how small the opening, keep them completely covered!

RIP lil ladies

I'm sorry for your loss. It's crazy the small places they can find to jump out of!

I'm so sorry to hear about your girls! :( At the very least you can be sure you're doing what you can to prevent it from happening again.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm going to make a mesh cover right now for the opening in my sorority. It's only about an inch...but now I'm paranoid.
