Im a new betta owner (yay!) and have a question. So my little guy Briarios started life in a pet store cup. I then transfurred him to a brandy glass because I thought they like small places. When I discovered that wasnt the case I put him in a 1/2 gal bowl. His water needed changing frequently and he would sit on the bottom, which I read to be a sign of cold temp. Two days ago I got a one gallon tank with filter/bubbler, gravel, a plant, cover, feeding slot, and light. He seemed very weirded out at first but seems to be used to it as of this morning.
My two questions are that he has never had a light before so should turn it off at night or leave it on 24/7. And that the bubbler seems to be scary to him so when I fed him yesterday he didn't eat, possibly because the bubbler was making it float all around. what should I do to make sure my little friend lives a long happy life? Thanks guys!
