Chronic sbd?

Well, it seems as if my Shani has chronic SBD. A couple of weeks ago I found her, floating at the top of her tank, unable to swim to the bottom. After three days of fasting, she was well and dandy again, and I fed her the next day. This has been going on for awhile, with every time I feed her, she gets SBD again. I've been feeding her less and less with a small hope that it'll help, but nothing seems to do it. I'm getting worried. What if she gets it while I'm away (I'm planning on going on a 3 day trip soon), and she can't reach the surface? I've been thinking about emptying her tank and just putting a cave and a plant or two, then lowering the water level. Think I should? I'm just getting so worried ): I haven't been able to get daphnia, since my mom doesn't like to leave the house much these days, and no one in my family eats peas, so they're not readily on hand, lol.
