Tap Water Conditioner

Is there a difference between Nutrafin BettaPlus and Nutrafin AquaPlus? The AquaPlus comes in a much bigger bottle in my town, so I'm wondering if I can buy that.

What other water conditioners would you recommend?

I don't use Nutrafin but I've noticed that other companies usually just put a label on the regular conditioner that says Betta and put it in a smaller bottle and sell it for more money per oz.

So I can just buy any water conditioner then? It doesn't have to be Betta specific?

When running small tanks, like for Betta, it's better to use a conditioner that detoxifies ammonia. Prime is most often used around here because, being concentrated, it is a good value.

Other conditioners that handle ammonia are Amquel Plus, AmmoLock, Aqueon Conditioner.

Many times the only thing that changes is concentration and directions
Seachem Prime 1ml treats 10gallons of water and cost 45.09 for 2 L at F&S

Seachems Pond Prime 1ml treats 20 gallon and cost 39.99 for 2 L at F&S

so why don't we all buy Pond Prime, well the smallest bottle makes 10,000 gallons of water and the the directions are for 100's of gallons of water at one time
