<_< I swear, this has to be the last betta I buy...I need to save room for fry jars.
So, this little guy had quite the adventure....we went into my LPS today to grab some dog things(Jade decided to chew through her harness...)and I HAD to go look at the bettas
They had these
gorgeous Doubletails and this one that reminded me of Smore, but without the marbling....however, a Doubletail there is, like $15 O.o Yeah, can't afford THAT...
So I skimmed the VTs, hoping maybe to find on for Midori, and then the CTs, whom were like less cool versions of Jirou.....and then the 'HMS', which were actually all Deltas.....
Anyway, there was this AWESOME MG.....but he wasn't horribly unique and didn't really seem to 'speak' to me, you know? Skimming the rest of the cups, I spotted this little guy....
Instant love <3 I was literally like 'Omg, Dragon! ;D*snatch*'
I've ALWAYS wanted a dragon betta. Though, now I'm not sure if he'd be technically classified as a dragon....though, his body has a little more of the 'overlapping scales' then in these pictures...
Back to the story ^^; So, after getting the lecture about how I don't need another fish(thanks mom, we got it the first couple times, don't need to repeat it <_<)and how I need help for my 'addiction', he came with me on the very long ride home....
Why so long? Well, we had to stop and go into my brothers kindergarten class and help out for a little bit.....feeling bad about leaving him in the cold car, he came inside with me, tucked into the outer pocket of my purse(which is conveniently just large enough for a betta cup...)Well, Allllll the kids wanted to see him of course. So the poor guy had to come out for a bit and let a bunch of little kids press their faces to his cup, but he was quickly replaced into the dark and calming pocket as soon as possible....and seems not too overly stressed actually, just tired
Hes very funny, and seemed to take an interest in me after getting into his home. His little critter keeper sits next to my monitor and he seemed to enjoy watching me, though wasn't overly happy about the camera....took forever to get those shots O.o;
I offered him a couple pellets, though he seemed more interested in going and sleeping on his little plant. I'm not worried, I suspect in a couple days he'll perk up.
Name ideas? I can't remember half of the names the class blurted out at me. Though I remember Nemo, Bull, Rock Star...and Annabell

I wasn't sure if he was a real dragon....most pictures I see the bettas have heavier scaling, maybe thats just because I'm looking on AB
