I just noticed that my betta's nest bubbles are discolored out toward the edge of his nest. They're usually clear/white, but these discolored bubbles are more yellowish. I'm thinking this must be something to do with the water, but I have never seen this happen before. This occurred today after having changed his water yesterday.

Hi,
I ran across a similar description yesterday.
Would you say the color around the edges could be a pale
khaki color? If it is, it may be a form of algae.
Strange that you would see it after a wc and not before
but if I have learned anything about fish-keeping, it is
that the first time you experience something out of the
ordinary, it always seems strange.
What size tank?
Filter or no?
ph level?
How often and how much water (%) do you change?
Plants, tank-mates?
Asking because that sort of information helps narrow down
the possibilities.
