Doesnt like bloodworms?

I wanna get frozen blood worms for my bettas but I didnt want to spend 50 bucks on them to find they didntlike them. I bought freezedried worms but they dont eat them. They dont even go up to see what they are. Maybe it has something to do with the tank being cold since I havent been able to get a heater yet? I thought all bettas love blood worms??

I've never had a betta turn down a bloodworm. How cold is it in there? They loose their appetite if it's too cold or they are sick. My frozen bloodworms only cost about $7

There are no places near me that sell them. I have to get them offline and shipping is 30 bucks. I dont know for sure how cold it is but they tend to stay at the bottom of the tank. Im waiting for my 10 gallon tank to come so I can cycle it and move them into it.

I dunno about freeze-dried, but I have NEVER heard of a betta refusing bloodworms.

All of my fish love the frozen bloodworms and a lot do NOT like the freeze dried ones.

Petco, Petsmart, any tropical fish place should carry the frozen. Not sure about Walmart but someone else might be able to tell you if they carry them.

Freeze-dried blood worms always gave my bettas SBD. If they don't want bloodworms, it won't hurt them if you don't feed them that.

Maybe there's something else near you? Brine shrimp?

I've never tried bloodworms, but all of my bettas seem to like freeze dried brine shrimp.

1)Buy them in the blister-packs by Hikari
2)Get your feeding kit together (a special brine shrimp net, a plastic cup and a pipette/tweezers)
3)Store the pack in a tupperware container (always be food safe :)) in the freezer.
4)When you want to feed, pop a cube into the net.
5)Run hot water over it (preferably somewhere like a laundry room sink, bath tub, somewhere where you don't prepare food) until it is melted. By using the hot water you have also rinsed it.
6)Holding the cup under the net to catch the drips, bring it to the fish tanks.
7)Use the pipette/tweezers to pick up worms and feed.
8)Rinse everything under hot water and put it in the cup for next time.
