Yesterday my mom actually asked me for a betta for Christmas! She likes how relaxing the tanks are in my room so she wants one in hers...with the added condition that cleaning it will be an extension of the present. Of course, she has NO room in her room, so maybe it'd be a living room kind of thing. At any event, maybe now I have an excuse to get a good breeding pair and maybe breed them sometime soon :-D.
awesome! my mom has been getting more and more interested, she loves seeing my fish when she visits... and i bought one once when i was visting home and she even payed for it! haha. Maybe one day she will want her own tank like your mom!
If you set it up in the living room, you should buy the equipment for the aquarium and individually wrap them. Or maybe a gift card or an IOU in her stocking, so that she can help pick out the decorations. Setting up the tank is pretty fun.
If you get a large enough tank, you could put sand down and add some corydoras, that'd be nice. My own mom *loves* corydoras.
Uh.. stay away from the dwarf frogs.. >.>;;; That doesn't go over so well. Lol..
Awesome! I was trying to get my aunt to buy one, with the hope that she would eventually pass it on to me because she couldn't keep his tank clean...lol.
Man I would love for someone to buy me another betta and tank setup for Christmas. LOL My mom really likes my fish tanks exspecially my 44 gallon that I have set up in the living room. I live at home so she gets to enjoy mine I am thinking about getting her one for the kitchen. She spends alot of time in there. LOL
Well, it'd kind of be my betta anyway because my mom only wants to watch it My dad doesn't like the idea of it being in their room though. I don't know what I'll do yet.
ya just need them to want "one", then their hooked lol
i have my 55 gallon and my 65 gallon in the living room and my 35 gallon in my eatin kitchen between the window and my dining table, it looks awesome, no direct sunlight, but looking thru it to my backyard i just love. i made a ledge behind it for some plants and so the tank looks even more planted and with plants id NEVER be able to put in a tank. on the dining table i have bettas and the rest are in my kitchen everywhere LOL in january im taking over the formal dining room with my 6-10 10 gallon tanks im planning lol
Wow Christina you're so lucky! My dad was harping about my 10 gallon QT tank that's in the garage so I guess I'll just "have" to set it up lol! Since I only keep bettas now I don't really need a whole 10 gal just for QT. I think maybe I'll just get a little critter keeper and heater for QT and set up the 10 gal permanently.
