Maybe I'm Too Worried

I checked up on Zeus today and he looks almost "dirty," is the best way to describe it. He looks like he has black shading on some of his scales. It's worrying me.

Heres info about his tank:
Lives in a 1 gallon bowl with a silk plant and gems. I do 100% water changes twice a week with conditioner. No filter or heater, but he does sit by a lamp which produces heat.

Well, while you really should have a heater, it could just be coloration. My girl Peanut developed lots of black spots on her body when she warmed up, and it's just her color. I strongly suggest upgrading to a 2.5 gallon tank with a heater to prevent further problems from temp fluctuation.
