I don't like reptiles myself but I've always wondered what it is about them that attracts people to them. Especially dangerous ones. When we were in Florida in July, there was a snake, some kind of python I think, that killed a baby. What kind of people would keep something like that that could get out and kill a baby?

Thanks everyone! Well, Corn snakes live for up to 10 or 15 years, but they're beginner snakes, who are very docile and rarely bite. They only eat mice, so no human child is in danger of being attacked unless they provoke the snake. The only downside to the little buggers is that they're fast and love to love escape. However, if you're prepared for it, it isn't much of a problem.

Well, there is a small amount of danger or risk owning any kind of animals with kids around, really. :P

My friend has a corn snake named Captain Corny. He's beautiful. And my other friend has two geckos, Dale and Rosie. I personally love geckos. So cute :3

The big thing is is that I don't really want to have kids ;x I don't do well with them. I'm nervous and easily angered around them, and I generally am just very bad around them. D: Besides, I plan on being a traveler when I get older, so a child would be bad for that kind of job.
