She jumped out again...I didn't notice because I was changing in the washroom.

I almost stepped on her when I came back in.
I was so freaked out though. I was only gone for a few minutes, but she was just lying there. I put her back in the tank and she swam off, though.

She seems to have some carpet fuzz on her, though. I tried putting her in a cup to pick some of it off, but she freaked out. It seems to bother her. What do you think?

just keep an eye on her, she will probably be able to swim herself out of it. i cant think that a carpet fuzz is really long enough to completely wrap around her.

Because the aquarium didn't have a hood, and has weird measurements that I haven't been able to find a standard hood for. Not to mention I'm too broke to look for one atm.

I lower the water level normally. I guess sincce the last change I hadn't lowered it enough.

Get like a piece of card board and poke holes in it and tape it on the top of the tank on one side so you can lift it to feed her or something. that's what i had to do a few times.

I had my boyfriend cut some wood to the correct dimensions to fit the top. Left a tiny bit of room for air/feeding.

yeah if your fish is a jumper you really need to take care of that lid issue- just be creative and figure it out as best you can

Well, I don't think I'll be able to find or cut any wood, but I'l be on the lookout for cardboard.

Gloria is completely fine. As soon as I come over to check on her, she gets all jumpy again thinking I'll feed her. That lady does not learn her lesson! I lowered the water level again for now.

PLexi glass is cheap and they will cut it for you at Home Depot and Lowes. I got one big enough for my 20 gallon for about $8.00.
