Elijah's gone and Toby's come

Well, I left for an overnight trip, and apparently my heater was not turned up high enough, because my fishies' water was really cold when I got back.
And my dear beautiful Elijah was dead. I'm convinced it was not either the cold or the constipation but a combination of the two that killed him, he was already under stress and the cold water was just too much to take.

On a happier note, while I was away I picked up a beautiful blue veiltale male, Toby. He seems to have quite a personality and will be a good match for Noel once everything's settled down.

Thanks guys. I still have pictures of Elijah on my camera so when we update our computer I can post them.

Toby came from a petstore near where my sister lives. The guy who owns the store hand-selects his animals and they only had three bettas, each of them in a tank with some other fish. (no little cups.) Toby does have some finrot, but I'll keep an eye on it.

That's like the store where I got Jaden. He was in a tank with other fish. And they only had one other betta that day.

I was watching the two for a bit, and took a closer look at Toby's fins. It appears that he actually does not have finrot, but perhaps a tiny bit of crowntail in his line.
