Hmm...... I would stay away from snails... they poop MUCH more then they eat. In a small tank, you don't really want that.

I use terra cotta clay pots for hidey holes. :) I also got some rocks from my back yard (washed them for about 10 minutes straight of course!) and made bridges and caves. Works great, and the fish love 'em!

I just picked up some shrimp! Pet supermarket would only let me get 10 for 1.19... i couldnt get any less... Ima put 5 in the 10g sorority.. then i gotta put 2 or 3 in each of my 2.5 gals i guess lol.... well see how this works out.

That is a great price! They are only about 14 cents where I am. :O at least at Thatfishplace, they are 33 cents at petsmart.

I've had nothing but bad luck with shrimp. My first two, I found deceased and I never found the third one and suspect he was eaten up at some point.

At least they aren't something you have to worry about finding a home for if they don't work out. If your Betta doesn't like them they always make a really good treat =p

I think they're almost a dollar here...? I want to get a few for my 10 gal as well. They never seem to have any when i have the money, though. Good luck!

I think they may be 46 cents here. I really wish they could survive an uncycled tank or I'd go get a couple right now lol
