Let the other fish put up with a little crowding for a week or two. Better than killing you Betta from the cold.

That Hagen is an adjustable heater. Read the info on Amazon. (I wish they'd write more clearly. I'm sure they've lost many sales because of their vague explanation.)

surely the tupper wear container would sink if filled with water?

or do I put him in a container at the bottom of the tank with lid on?

Betta need to get to the surface to breath to augment their gill oxegenating.

Tupperware will float if you don't fill it all the way.

You may want to review this:

Dividers will work, if you can set them up reliably. I'm just trying to figure ways to keep your fish warm while you wait for your heater.

yeah...I appreciate that a lot , I think I may have to do that- check on Amazon and they wont ship to Portugal.
Ebay are more expensive than Amazon, but may have to bite the bullet and pay.

Lisbon is large enough to have a fish-store of some kind. Isn't it?

What's the closest large town in Spain? Surely something's closer than Madrid.

If you read my location I am not in lisbon, but in the South in tha Algarve.

and there a only a few good pet shops.

Lisbon is a 2 hour drive and Madrid is almost more than double that.
