Bad, bad, news.
I went there ASAP today, and I asked the lady if she had any more female bettas left after I looked and couldnt find her.
So she looked and told me that she sold one of them on tuesday.
and I was thinking-- oh no...
And so I looked a second time, and she was goone D8
I was really dissapointed,
but the lady saw my face and told me theres a new fish shipment today,
and theyre female.
She says just to wait a day so they get settled in.
Should I wait a day?

I'm sorry! But if she did get picked up, it was probably by someone who cared (: Females aren't as popular as males, so I'd think they're more likely to go to someone who likes bettas.

Ah, true.
The lady called her Judy,
so she must be an avid shopper.
Still depressing though.
I should have asked WHEN shes getting the new shipment today.
She said this afternoon,
and that it would be a good idea to wait a day or two for them to settle in.
The problem is,
Im the most impatient, demanding person in the world xD
Im awfully tempted to go to the store and buy one today, but I dont know if shes going to be there.
Dont want to get on an employees dark side.

Well I'd imagine that the bettas must be stressed from being shipped around...then there would be more stress if you buy one and take it home. I think it's better if you wait a few days. Good luck!

Alright,
its been a couple days since the new shipment.
I went there,
and bought a baby girl,
she looks dark blue,
with some red on her fins.
Ive decided to name her Nenet,
which means goddess of the deep in egyptian :3
Ill get pictures soon.
Just wanted to ask,
what are stress stripes and what do they look like?

Stress stripes are horizontal lines on the body, usually 2. If you're up to digging around my posts, Bambi (my little purple girl) pretty much always has them because she hates the lamp I bring out for pictures. :P

Haha,
well,
she has stripes all right 3x
Actually,
Ive just noticed, that after I put her beside Pickle,
she goes pale, and after she swims around a few times, she turns a really dark royal blue.
Its leaking into her ins right now, so shes mostly blue, with a little but of red.
Pickle is such a showoff,
when I stuck her into Pickles tank to acclimate while I made her tank, he was swimming around her and poking at the bag.
He was so cute <33
Shes in the one gallon right now,
Im going to buy some gravel for her later,
She has a large rock in there, and a few plants.
No gravel though.
Shes about half the size of Pickle.
Still a baby x3
Im actually wondering if she is a VT.
Its hard to tell,
but she has tiny little ridges or spikes going along her fins.
maybe its just becuase shes a baby...?

im glad you got a new girl, sounds like a veiltail, but, give her a few months, she may turn out to be a crowntail. it wont be the first time they mismark them to sell. ive gotten some awesome deals on ones that were mismarked.
