How muxh doess 2 gall water weigh?

I am looking at getting a shelve to put my my tanks together on but need to know how much they ruffly weigh. They are 2.5 gallons with 5 lbs gravel and water.

Edit: Title should be, How much not how muxh can't seem to type this morning. LOL

I got a shelve that holds 100 lbs on each shelve so that should be plenty strong enough.

each gallon weighs approximately 8.3 lbs

Thanks Christina. I really like the way they look I have 2 tanks on each shelve and Hershey and Jack are haveing a flareing contest. LOL

If your shelf can support 100lbs two 2 gals shouldn't be a problem.

Yep I usually just round up to 10 pounds per gallon.

ya i usually round up to 10 a gallon as well to account for gravel and the tank and stuff
