14 or 38 gallon..what do you think?

hey folks. so I am getting a 38 gallon this weekend. now I am deciding where to put my CT who is in the dining room. I have several options,wondering what would be best for him.

option 1: 20 gallon split for 4(or 3) bettas
option 2: put him in the 14 with the julii corys
option 3: 38 gallon with many other fish,possibly corys,cherry barbs,danios and pencilfish


if i could put him in the 14 and he doesnt pick on the corys,that would be great. that way i dont have to pull out my 20 and have to buy more things for it. i mean i dont mind,but its gonna be a pain lol. anywho.whatcha think??

i vote go for the 20 gallon split..........who doesnt want more bettas LOL

im setting up a few tanks this week and thats what im doing, dividing them for more boys

LOL.too bad I threw out the boxes for the 10 gallon dividers,could have gotten credit for them. ah well. I need to get a lid too,hopefully they have glass ones cause I dont want a 60 dollar hood with a light I will never use lol.

haha. oh well. grr I am gonna need a stronger heater too...is a 75 okay for a 20 long or do I need stronger for that too?

Going with the 3-5 watt per gallon rule it should be ok, However, it really depends on your climate. Mine is kinda cold so I need 5 watts per gallon, but if your room temp is normally higher than mine then 3 watts will do just fine. Good luck with the new tank!! Have fun :)
