I found out that when I turn off the lights apart from his tank light he can see his reflection in the tank walls much better and gets very upset about it.

I also think that his blown tail is looking a lot better than it did before. :) I hope it heals completely in the end.

oO Thank you. :D I was was under the impression that his tail looked like that because it has gotten split. Do you think that the tail could end up looking like that naturally? I still am giving him salt baths for the hole, but I was thinking that the tail splits would heal as well. I suppose time will tell, though.

*laughs* That's funny. It is like a show! I've also come to the realization that when the room is dark and I come in from the bright hallway, he flares if he notices the difference. Fascinating and an impromptu 'hello' if only through me changing things in my perception. :P

I'm sure it's just from being split. He's probably grow it back and the split parts will mend together. It just takes awhile for them to heal up completely.

But he's a very pretty fish! Great colours<3
