White edging to eye bases and fin rot update?

It is unfortunate that Desmoda has still progressed some with his fin rot - there is another smaller hole and a patch of wear further up the tail fin. The edge actually seems to be fuller, however - has this ever happened to anyone else where the edge begins to heal but holes are becoming apparent further up/near the middle of the tail fin?

As well, there seems to be an edge of white around the base of his eyes, and his right is more prominent that his left. Anyone encounter this before and what might it mean? Wish I could explain more but I gotta book it to my next class. :/ Thanks a lot guys!
